Room 12

Kelly Tarlton's!!!!!!!

On May 28th the year 4's went to Kelly Tarlton's for a sleep over.We all met in the Kelly Tarlton's exit car park. My dad dropped me off with my mum, my mum was going to be a parent helper.When we got there I went and got my name ticked off. In a couple of  minutes Miss Lin called out the groups (We were all put in groups so that no - one would get lost).Once everyone was in,the teachers said our groups and to go and put our bags in the corridor .Mum and I put our bags in the corner and went into the front room.In the front room we met our helpers their names were Darren and Stephen.They put a board in front of us and started writing down some things that we should remember and he said there was a new giant big squid in the front bit of the Kelly Tarlton's, they got it because there was a big tip over and the cold water turned around and the warm water was in the bottom of the sea and the cold water was at the top so the squid went all the way up to the top of the sea and then Kelly Tarltons found the squid  and bought it up to Kelly Tarlton's.After we had finished talking we lined up to go to the car park and go to the front door of Kelly Tarlton's.



Once we got to the front of Kelly Tarlton's we in in our groups.I was in group 1 my mum and my friend Brielles dad was the 2 parent helpers there was 8 parent helpers all together.Once we had all got in we went to Sting ray bay which is where all the sting rays are, and the food.When we got in Sting ray bay Darren hopped in his swimming suit and hopped in with the sting rays !!! He told us all about them and that they have only killed 16 people and it isn't very much I thought that there would have been more people killed but there is only 16.They kill people only if the people hurt them or pull their tail's.Darren said that sting rays won't hurt you if you swim with them.At the end he said if you want to ask me any questions you can. I was thinking that I would ask him a question so I went up to him and said when I grow up I am going to work for entertaining job at Kelly Tarlton's I think it looked really cool swimming with the sting rays.Then we all had dinner we had jucie and 2 choclate chip cookies.
Then when we had finished we played a game what we had to do is that their was 2 buckets and what we did was the first bucket was for girls and the other one was for boys in the bucket was ice and we had to put our hand in it so there was 6 people in a group and the girls and boys had to see who was braver the girls and boys put their hands in the bucket and if you took your hand out you would have to go wash your hands in cold water.Then we all lined up and went to the sea horse Kingdom it had lots of sea horses there they were very very small and tiny the boys breed the sea horses instead of the girls.
Then we went and saw some fish in the polace where all the fish are kept they are very beautiful.
After that we went to the back of the Kelly Tarlton's back there we saw a sick fish in a tank and we saw a turtle and we got to feed the sharks we had some chopped fish and we had to throw it out to them they all fighted over the food.



Once we had finished looking we all went back to the front room.Then Stephen left because he was going home to go to bed. So Darren was going to look after us.He Said the last activity was to do was
to go and find out where we want to sleep he said we needed to get our torches because he was going to turn the lights off so we  could know what it was like because I like sleeping in the dark.I went and looked around and I wanted to sleep under the sharks.Then we were told to go get our PJ's on once we had our PJ's on we had to go and get our bags and sleeping bags and mats.once we had set up our sleeping things we had to go and get our toiletry so we could brush our teeth and clean our face.Once I did that I went to the toilet so I wouldn't have to go in the night.then we went to bed.



In the morning I woke up, and woke my mum up and I went and changed into my clothes.Then I packed all my things up and went up into the front room.Then I sat on the mat. Then Darren Started talking and saying that we were going back to Sting ray bay to have breakfast so off we went and sat down at a table waiting for our table ready to go up and get breakfast then our table was called I had peaches and a peice of buter toast. It was good I went for seconds. Then Darren called us to line up to go see the penguins I was at the back of the line but it didn't really matter then we all went in and saw the penguins then Darren started telling us about the penguins he said if you save a penguins life they won't really thank you and he said the only way the penguins will come up to you is if you go up to thier baby's.He said there was a penguin that someone saved but relesed it in the middle of the ocean so it would have died because there was no land.He said the King penguins ask the ladies to be their wife by giving them a rock and then it would be like a ring and it would be the first rock in their nestthis is a funny story there was a girl penguin and she excepted a rock from a boy and she layed an egg and she said "you look after the egg first then she went off and layed another eg and said to the boy you look after it first then she went off and then she layed another egg and said you look after it so then she didn't ask any one else that is a pretty funny story then we all went back and got our bags and went and waited for the bus.
